Our sweet little guinea pig Toby died today. He wasn't acting right this morning, and didn't ask for his morning carrot. I gave him a carrot, and he acted like he didn't know what to do with it. He passed away while we were at work. We buried him with his blanket behind our shed in the backyard.
Toby was a very sweet little piggy. A co-worker of my mom had this pig and didn't want it anymore. He was going to set it free in the backyard last spring (2006). There was no way we were going to let him set a little, white, domesticated guinea pig free outside. Toby came to live with us after we bought our house last summer. We named him after Toby Rand, a contestant on Rock Star Supernova last summer. (We just liked the name Toby.) Toby enjoyed sleeping (all of the time), and he liked falling asleep wrapped in his blanket on our laps. He liked his carrots and the lucky charms in his food (he was quite picky for a guinea pig).
Needless to say, we are pretty bummed. He was one of the sweetest piggies we've had. He's gone to join Gabby in piggy heaven. (Gabby was another sweet little piggy we had a few years ago.)
