Very long day

March 30th has proven to be a very long day. We checked in to the hospital at 7:30am and the induction process was started. It has been over 12 hours, and we still have no baby. Last check was dilated to 9cm, so it won't be long now hopefully.

The nurses on the floor here in the Skiff OB department are WONDERFUL!! The nurses, the lab tech, the anesthesiologist, and the doctor are all so great to work with.

We've been pretty much confined to our room all day. I go up the hall every now and again for ice chips, but that's about it. Thank goodness for TV! Although daytime TV doesn't amount to a hill of beans, we were able to see Idol and now Parenthood (how fitting).

Desi has been quite a champ today. She fought through the early contractions before they could administer the epidural. She keeps trying new positions hoping to get the Nugget out sooner. She is now taking another well deserved nap. Hopefully, it won't be long now.

The hospital was wireless access, but unfortunately they have blocked Facebook. I guess too many employees were taking advantage. I guess we'll have to update this way for the time being.

Hopefully we will have some more good news soon!!
