Hello all. Not too much going on here.
Saturday morning we headed up to Ankeny to drop the Trail Blazer off for it's 30,000 mile checkup. Gulp! The warranty is almost gone. Its only been a year! We've decided that we are done with the mega dealerships. We will probably not buy another vehicle from Karl Chevrolet. We weren't very pleased with the service we've been getting there lately. The salesman that sold us the vehicle is now at Toyota of Des Moines. We really liked him a lot, so maybe when the Grand Prix gets replaced, it will be with a Camry. Hmm.....
While the car was in the shop, we ran our weekly errands in Ankeny. Panera, Target, Kohls, Hy Vee, etc. Then we came back to Altoona and did laundry. After we went back up to get the car, we made a meatloaf for supper. What a fun filled Saturday!
Sunday, we did a bit of yard work. Pulled the rest of the annuals out (since they were all dead) and raked the leaves in the back yard. Both of our little maple trees are naked now, but the mighty oak is still holding all of it's pretty red leaves. It'll wait until the day before the snow flies and drop them all in a day. Darn tree!
Sunday afternoon, we went to a movie. I cannot remember the last movie we went to in a theater. Sad. We saw "Dan in Real Life." Not a bad movie, it just wasn't what I was expecting from Steve Carell. It was kind of a sappy movie.
Tonight, we had to remove the wall hangings and move a couple of tables out of the way for the painters tomorrow. They are coming to paint the entry way and stairwells. The entry is too high for us to tackle, and the stairwells just suck too much for us to do. We're gonna break down and do the great room ourselves. Someday...
I only have 3 days left in the chargeback department. I'm am SO ready for the change.
Like I said, not too much going on here. Thanks for checking in!
