One step closer

The drywall guy had a cancellation the next day, so he came and fixed the drywall above the counters. The counter people were supposed to call us at the end of this week and set up a time to come next week, but guess what. Yup, they didn't call. They will be getting a call from us first thing next week. The people at Lowe's said about four weeks. It has been about seven weeks since we ordered and about six weeks since they came and measured.
We've also tried calling handymen about replacing the pantry door and the door between the garage and kitchen and haven't received a reply from any of them. We've also called a painter (for our two-story entryway) and haven't received a reply. I guess these people don't want our business. Anyway...

Last night, we went to my boss's house for a hay ride. Well, actually it was more of a trailer ride, but it was fun. He lives just outside of town and has quite a bit of land. He grilled hot dogs and we all brought a little something. We ate and piled on to the trailer for our ride. It was chilly, but not unbearable. It was nice to see my co-workers and their families outside of work.

Heading to the eastern part of the state for a wedding reception this weekend. Maybe catch Gage's football game on the way home on Sunday.

Nothing else too exciting right now.

Ah, contractors. We had a HELL of a time getting Dean Stevens in our house to do the drywall after our plumbing fiasco. Months, I tell ya. Months. It took him nearly a month just to call us back.
