It is quite a windy day here in central Iowa. The winds are gusting out of the south, and bringing nice warm temperatures with it. The car told me it was 69 on the way home today. Nice!
We woke up Saturday with an inch of snow on the ground. It only stuck to the grass, not the roads. We left here at about 10 and headed for eastern Iowa. We stopped at Williamsburg again to hit the Eddie Bauer and Old Navy outlets. We had to buy smaller pants!! Yay us!!
We made it to Monticello a little after 1. Mike and Kelly and Marc and Sarah arrived shortly thereafter. We had our delayed family Easter this past weekend. It turned out that everyone else decided to stay overnight there with us. Mom had 10 people and 3 dogs again for the night. She was so excited. Crazy woman! Oliver didn't make the journey with us. For overnight stays, he can take care of himself here at home.
Sunday we went to Desi's parent's house for lunch. Mel, Jerry and the boys joined us. It was a nice visit with everybody. Afterwards we went to Mel's to check out her iTunes list. She is gonna make me a CD. Thanks Melly!!
Yesterday was an insanely busy day. I had an appointment after work in West Des Moines (more on that at a later time). I got out of there at about 5:30, right in the heart of drive-time. That made for an interesting ride home. Des had only been home for a minute or two when I got here. We then did our walk, came home and made supper, cleaned up, went to the grocery store, and finally crashed in our chairs at about 9.
Tonight seems as if it will be a bit slower paced. I think we'll brave the winds and walk outside tonight. Then we'll tune in for American Idol, and tape the Biggest Loser finale.
Hope your week is off to a good start.
